"Green Spring Flower Thing" On Display at Encinitas Library

My friend and local Eco Artist Rodney McCoubrey spearheaded this years community art project which is now on display at the Encinitas Library for a year. The project was made possible with the help of about 20 local volunteers and tons of kids and parents at this years EEDAY Festival. It was also generously supported by our local city art program coordinator Jim Gilliam who has been a huge support of our local artist throughout the year. Among the crew of volunteers where a few of my friends, Anne and Kirk Fagergren, John Gjata, Corey Messor, Steve Kwik, Mary Fleener, Marc Lathrop, Dave and Holly Lecour, Tak and Jamie Di Dio Aoyama, Jeramy and the high school crew, and Jan Rogers (she was like 6 people in one. you rock Jan!) to name a few.

If you get a chance go to the library to check it out. It is displayed on the north side.

If you helped in this pat yourself on the back. You did great!!!

D Fin Clock

Sometimes you go to your door and find something you just didn't expect to see. The other day there was this D Fin Clock laying on my door mate with a note attached. Turns out my friends Mary and Paul got this clock at the Longboard Grotto about 15 years ago. It broke and then sat in a closet all this time. While cleaning things out she felt that I would appreciate it so she passed it on to me. All I can say is that it has been getting some attention around here. THANK YOU GUYS FOR THINKING OF ME!!!! It is very cool and I will find a nice spot to show it off.

THE FLEENALELE

Check this out. I found this on Mary Fleener's site.  She was asked to paint some ukuleles.  This was the first I'd seen of them.  They are amazing.  She isn't only an amazing artist but a great musician. I had the pleasure of watching her and her husband Paul play at a party one time.  It was a real treat to sit that close and hear them play.

Check out her site here there are some more pictures of the uks.
