Del Mar Hills Academy and our very own environmental artist Rodney McCoubrey are hosting a Recycled Art Exhibit event called Flower Power.
It will be held at the Del Mar Power House Park on 15th Street. All are welcome to attend. With the help of Rodney, the students of the school created over 300 flowers decorated from recycled materials they each collected for their own piece. All 300 will be displayed in the grass and each is mounted on re-barb which will sway in the wind like a real garden. I got to see a mini display at Rodney's studio and it was really amazing.
The event starts a 8am and goes until 3pm.
