Local Bob King and his son Gus picked up their handplane today. This board is special to me. It came from the Murphy's Iron Cross. It was the first one I shaped. Kipp of course did a great glass job on it and my good friend Rodney McCoubrey painted it up. The pictures don't even do it justice. It is a work of art for sure.
Thank you Bob and Gus for supporting our efforts! Thank you everyone who have been sending us boards as well. We have saved 5 boards so far and have had a heap of fun doing it.
Finally took my "Rodney Fish Enjoy Broken Board Handplane" out last night. What a blast, I love the feeling of riding "in" the wave, I know what I will be doing all summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks again. It is so beautiful, I keep it on the Mantel in the living room when not in use. It is a equally beautiful in and out of the water.
